Update on the situation at GEH Wasserchemie during the coronavirus pandemic
The effects of the coronavirus pandemic are impacting all of us in most areas of our lives, and also presenting GEH Wasserchemie with major challenges. For our part, we have already taken a wide range of measures in order to maintain production of GEH® at our facility and thus ensure that our customers continue to be supplied. At present, there are no indications that the production or availability of our products will be restricted.
With forwarding companies being heavily affected by the restrictions in cross-border trade, however, there is a possibility that deliveries may experience delays. We are constantly monitoring the situation and following the recommendations issued by the authorities.
The continuity and quality of our expert support will remain in place without restriction. For any questions concerning water treatment, you may, of course, continue to contact us as usual by e-mail or phone.
Many events in which GEH Wasserchemie was intending to participate, or be involved in as a sponsor, have been cancelled or postponed in light of the current situation.
• The World’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management, IFAT 2020 in Munich, has been put back until 7-11 September 2020. As a member of the KF Group (https://kf-gmbh.com), we will be exhibiting at this trade fair. For more information, please visit: https://ifat.de/en/trade-fair/trade-fair-profile/latest-information/
• The Annual Conference of the Water Chemistry Society (Water 2020), which was scheduled to take place in Potsdam from 18 to 20 May 2020, has been cancelled entirely. GEH Wasserchemie has been a sponsor of this event for many years and always been present at the accompanying trade fair with our own stand. We look forward to the next scheduled conference in the coming year (10 to 12 May 2021). • The International Congress & Exhibition on Arsenic in the Environment due to be held in Wageningen, NL, from 15 to 18 June 2020, will be postponed. A new date is expected to be announced in May 2020. GEH Wasserchemie will be contributing a paper on the “Impact of vanadium and phosphorous on their treatment capacity in removing arsenic from drinking water”. It is our hope and wish for all our customers, suppliers and partners that we will soon see an easing of the situation. We are on hand for any questions that you may have.
