GEH Wasserchemie – Solutions for clean drinking water

It was not until 2010 that access to clean water was declared a human right by the United Nations. But at GEH Wasserchemie, we have been developing effective and sustainable water treatment as of 1997. Our aim is to make clean water available to people all around the world. In the pursuit of this goal, we invented an adsorption material based on iron hydroxide, which has been successfully patented. Today, we supply customers across the globe with 2,000 tonnes of our invention annually.

Since the major water crisis in 2018, the country's secure water supply has once again come to the fore. Our material is proven to be more effective than the competition. To determine this, comparative tests were carried out. They have shown that our product clearly enables higher treatment capacities of up to 100 percent. This not only pleases us, but also our customers: If they choose to use GEH®, their plants will achieve a significantly longer service life with the same amount of material.

The quality standards for iron hydroxide for the treatment of drinking water are strictly regulated. They are set by the EN DIN 15029 standard by the EU. The great benefit of our adsorbent is its sustainability: whereas other processes are based on precipitation and subsequent filtration, our product effectively binds heavy metals. This way, they are permanently removed from the water cycle. In consequence, the amount of waste is significantly lower when you choose to use GEH®.
